HARIANEXPRESS – Thousands participated in the SAIM Nature Run 2026 at Delta Plaza Surabaya, an event fully managed by SAIM Secondary students on Sunday, 30/8/2026. This race served as a significant learning project for the students involved.
The SAIM Nature Run 2026 was conceived and organized entirely by the OSIS SAIM Secondary, with students participating from the initial stages through to its execution. This involvement allowed participants to engage in a hands-on learning project where students handled everything from planning to promotion, sponsorship, and implementation.
Students developed the concept, created promotional content, secured sponsors, designed jerseys, and prepared race packs. They also coordinated extensively with various parties crucial to the event’s success. Chairperson Naila Tsabita Tamimy, a 12th-grade student, led the team through this comprehensive process.
“For us, this is not just about organizing an event,” stated Naila. She added, “We learned how to plan something, collaborate with many parties, face problems, and ensure what was designed could be implemented.”
Throughout the process, the OSIS SAIM team received direct mentorship from Aziz Badiansyah, M.MPd, the Director of SAIM Education. His guidance involved overseeing, instructing, and directing students from preparation up to the SAIM Nature Run 2026’s execution.
