HARIANEXPRESS – The DPC PKB Blitar Regency recently held a two-day Musyawarah Anak Cabang (Musancab) at Kampung Coklat, aimed at refreshing the party’s image through organizational regeneration.
The event, which commenced on Sunday, August 9, 2026, focused on restructuring the leadership at the sub-district level and setting new targets for the party’s future.
M. Rifai, Chairman of DPC PKB Blitar Regency, emphasized the importance of regeneration in organizing the party after his selection as chairman. This initiative is a crucial step to reorganize at the sub-district level and outline PKB’s objectives moving forward.
Regenerating Leadership and Electoral Targets
Following the completion of all Musancab meetings, the DPC PKB plans to conduct a joint work meeting with the newly elected DPACs. A primary goal is to regain the previously held number of seats in the Blitar Regency Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).
In the previous election, PKB secured 11 seats. The DPC PKB is now targeting to restore this number to its former achievement of 13 to 14 seats.
“The target for the next five years is for the number of seats to increase. From the previous 11, we are targeting to restore our seat count like in the first election, with 13 to 14. That is our target,” said M Rifai to Harian Express.
Beyond legislative seats, PKB also aims to win the regional head election (Pilkada). M. Rifai indicated that the strategies to achieve this goal would be discussed during annual work meetings.
Embracing Youth and Retaining Experience
Cadre regeneration is a central focus for PKB Blitar Regency, with instructions from both the DPP and DPW PKB to implement it across all levels of management. However, this regeneration does not imply sidelining senior cadres.
Experienced cadres are given roles within the Syuriyah as an advisory council, while the Tanfidz, or executive positions, are primarily directed towards the younger generation.
“Regeneration is already a part that must be implemented by officials at the regency or city level. It doesn’t mean we discard the older generations. We elevate the older generations to sit on the Syuriyah as a Deliberative Council. As for Tanfidz, the executive, it’s natural that it should be young people,” M Rifai explained to Harian Express.
The party also strengthens its youth presence through affiliated organizations such as Gemasaba, Panji Bangsa, and Garda Bangsa. M. Rifai highlighted these platforms as avenues to engage university students and young individuals interested in political involvement.
Furthermore, PKB mandates that every management structure includes a millennial cadre with a strong understanding of technology. M. Rifai stressed this requirement to ensure technological proficiency within the party.
Musancab Participation and Future Preparations
The Musancab saw the participation of approximately 1,516 attendees. PKB Blitar Regency has 23 Sub-District Executive Councils (DPACs), which is more than the 22 sub-districts in Blitar Regency because Ponggok Sub-district is split into two administrative managements: Ponggok 1 and Ponggok 2.
Through these restructuring and regeneration efforts, the DPC PKB Blitar Regency is actively building its organizational strength for political agendas in the next five years. The ultimate goal remains to regain 13 to 14 DPRD seats.
