HARIANEXPRESS – PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (PT KBI) and the Head of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (BAPPEBTI) oversaw the inaugural export of 38.4 tons of Indonesian coffee, valued at US$227,443.20, from Gudang SRG KAI-ASLI Gedebage, Bandung, to Morocco and China on Friday, July 24, 2026.
This significant shipment comprised two containers. One container, holding 19.2 tons of Robusta Grade 2 coffee valued at US$71,040, was destined for Morocco. The second container, also 19.2 tons, contained Arabica Semi Wash coffee worth US$156,403.20, heading to China.
Following this initial success, the SRG warehouse manager has scheduled subsequent shipments. These involve eight containers of Arabica Semi Wash coffee, totaling 153.6 tons, with an estimated value of US$1,251,225.60, all bound for China.
PT KBI, a pioneer in establishing the SRG Registration Center in Indonesia, has been instrumental in developing a secure, transparent, accountable, and trustworthy SRG governance framework. This system enhances confidence among businesses, financing institutions, and trading partners regarding commodities managed under the SRG scheme.
Budi Susanto, President Director of PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia, highlighted the expanding role of the Warehouse Receipt System (SRG). He stated that SRG now serves not only as a financing instrument but also as a vital component in Indonesia’s commodity supply chain and export activities.
“This export release proves that SRG is not only a financing instrument for farmers and business actors, but is also able to become a bridge connecting national commodities with international markets. As a pioneer of the SRG Registration Center in Indonesia, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia will continue to strengthen governance, service digitalization, and collaboration with all stakeholders so that the utilization of SRG will be more widespread and provide sustainable economic benefits,” said Budi Susanto.
The success of these coffee exports to China and Morocco is expected to bolster international market confidence in the quality of Indonesian commodities. Furthermore, it aims to expand export opportunities and financial access for farmers, cooperatives, MSMEs, and national businesses.
As the first State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) to operate as the SRG Registration Center, PT KBI remains committed to reinforcing the SRG ecosystem. This is achieved through the secure, transparent, and accountable administration of registrations.
