HARIANEXPRESS – Blitar Resort Police (Polres Blitar) conducted a joint prayer and distributed basic necessities (sembako) to online motorcycle taxi (ojol) communities across Blitar Regency on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
This initiative demonstrated the police’s commitment to community welfare and aimed to bolster synergy between law enforcement and the public.
The event saw the attendance of Blitar Police Chief AKBP Ardhy Zul Hasbih Nasution and all principal officials of Polres Blitar. Representatives from various ojol communities within Blitar Regency also participated in the gathering.
During the occasion, Kapolres Ardhy Zul Hasbih Nasution introduced himself as the newly appointed head of the Blitar Police. He called for continued support and cooperation from all stakeholders, including the ojol community, to maintain public safety and order (kamtibmas) in Blitar Regency. This collective effort aims to establish a secure and conducive environment for all residents.
“We hope that the synergy and communication between Polres Blitar and the ojol community will continue to be well-maintained,” said Blitar Police Chief AKBP Ardhy Zul Hasbih Nasution at the event location.
The joint prayer session was led solemnly by Ustaz Adam Malik. Prayers were specifically offered for predecessors and ancestors, national leaders, and Polri (Indonesian National Police) leaders. Petitions also included the safety and well-being of the entire Blitar community, expressing hopes for blessings and protection.
A special prayer was also dedicated to Afan, a member of the ojol community who had passed away precisely one year prior to the event.
Alongside the prayer, Polres Blitar distributed packages of basic necessities to the ojol community members. This distribution served as a concrete manifestation of care and an effort to strengthen the bond between the police institution and various community segments, particularly online motorcycle taxi drivers in Blitar Regency.
The joint prayer and sembako distribution represent a significant moment for reinforcing unity, synergy, and loyalty within the ojol community. The goal is to support the creation of a consistently safe and conducive public order situation in Blitar Regency.
