Blitar Welcomes Damri Bus Service to Serang Beach by 2027

Blitar Regency Government welcomes plans for a Damri bus service connecting Tulungagung Station to Serang Beach, set to boost local tourism by 2027.

HARIANEXPRESS – The Blitar Regency Government has welcomed the planned operation of a Damri bus service that will connect Tulungagung Station with Serang Beach in Panggungrejo District, scheduled to commence in 2027, (25/8/2026).

This new transportation service is expected to significantly enhance accessibility to various tourist destinations within Blitar Regency. The route is designed to pass through several potential locations, including popular attractions like Kampung Coklat and other community activity areas.

The new route represents an extension of an existing Damri bus service that currently operates from Pacitan to Tulungagung. Preparations for the operation are already underway, with a route survey having been conducted by the General Manager of Damri Ponorogo along with the Area Manager of Damri Surabaya in Blitar Regency.

“The program is part of the national strategic project for tourism areas. The operational plan for Damri buses from Tulungagung to Serang Beach in Blitar Regency is scheduled for 2027,” said the Head of the Blitar Regency Transportation Agency (Dishub), Puguh Imam Santoso.

The introduction of this public transport route is anticipated to increase tourism visits and stimulate the local economy. The Ministry of Transportation has already allocated subsidy funding for this new route.
