HARIANEXPRESS – Kampung Coklat in Blitar is set to offer free admission on August 17, 2026, coinciding with the 81st Indonesian Independence Day and its own 12th Anniversary.
This special initiative aims to provide an opportunity for people from various backgrounds to enjoy the attractions. It also serves as a gesture of appreciation and a collaborative effort with the Blitar Regency Government to enliven important occasions.
The program has garnered significant public interest, previously attracting around 2,000 visitors during the Blitar Anniversary on August 5, indicating strong public enthusiasm for such programs.
Free Entry to Mark Dual Celebrations
The decision to offer free entry on these significant dates allows a broader audience to experience Kampung Coklat’s diverse offerings. This move reflects Kampung Coklat’s commitment to community engagement and partnership with the local government. Fauzan, Chairman of the 12th Harlah Kampung Coklat Committee, emphasized the inclusive nature of the program.
“Our hope is that with free entry, people from all walks of life can enjoy tourism at Kampung Coklat. We want to show appreciation that Kampung Coklat is present as much as possible for the community, especially the people of Blitar Regency,” Fauzan stated.
Public enthusiasm for such free access programs has been evident, with approximately 2,000 tourists taking advantage of the opportunity during the Blitar Regency Anniversary on August 5. This earlier event showcased the popularity of accessible tourism initiatives at the venue.
Diverse Events Enliven Anniversary
Beyond the free admission, the 12th Anniversary celebrations for Kampung Coklat feature a variety of community-focused activities throughout August 2026. These events aim to engage different segments of society and enhance the celebratory atmosphere.
Coloring Contest Fosters Creativity
One of the highlighted activities was a coloring contest, which successfully drew approximately 1,700 children from PAUD and TK levels. This competition served as a platform for children’s creativity and promoted a sense of togetherness. Parents, guardians, and teachers actively participated alongside the children during the event.
“There is an electric motorbike for the main prize of today’s event, and not only the students participated. There were mothers, guardians, teachers. So this activity also became a space for the community to celebrate Kampung Coklat’s Harlah together,” Fauzan remarked.
Anniversary Peak and Prize Fun Walk
The series of 12th Harlah celebrations will continue, with the peak event scheduled for August 9, 2026, involving various community elements. The entire Harlah series will conclude with a fun walk on August 23, 2026. Participants can join this event by purchasing a coupon for Rp5,000.
The organizing committee has prepared a range of prizes, including a main prize of one motorcycle and hundreds of other attractive rewards. The total value of the prizes is approximately Rp20 million.
“We invite all elements of society to attend the peak of Kampung Coklat’s Harlah. After that, we also invite the public again to participate in the fun walk with prizes,” Fauzan concluded.
