HARIANEXPRESS – The Blitar City Government has confirmed that the Integrated People’s School (Sekolah Rakyat – SR) 2, located in Kauman Urban Village, Kepanjenkidul District, is set to commence its School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) on August 15, 2026.
This confirmation follows coordination between the Blitar City Social Service and the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the school’s operational readiness. The MPLS activities are scheduled to run until August 31, 2026, aiming to introduce new students to the school environment and prepare them for dormitory life.

Start Date and Coordination
The Blitar City Government confirmed that Sekolah Rakyat (SR) Terintegrasi 2 in Kelurahan Kauman, Kecamatan Kepanjenkidul, will begin its School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) on August 15, 2026. This assurance was obtained after the Blitar City Social Service coordinated with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemensos RI) concerning the school’s operational readiness.
MPLS Schedule and Student Enthusiasm
According to Eka Atikah, Head of the Blitar City Social Service, the MPLS series is slated from August 15 to August 31, 2026, as per the Kemensos RI schedule. She noted that this schedule also accounts for the significant enthusiasm of prospective students, who have been eagerly awaiting the start of learning activities.
Many students have reportedly already prepared their personal belongings and school necessities for their stay in the dormitory.
MPLS Activities and Life Skills
Eka expressed hope that the MPLS opening on August 15 would feature various activities. These include psychological tests, introductions to classrooms, dormitories, and other school facilities.
“We hope that on August 15, the MPLS opening can be carried out with a series of activities, such as psychological tests, introductions to classrooms, dormitories, and various other school facilities,” said Eka.
Beyond facility introductions, students will also acquire essential daily life skills to foster independence during MPLS. Specifically for elementary school students, companions will guide them on proper use of school facilities, like using a sitting toilet correctly, maintaining personal hygiene, and practicing tidiness in organizing and folding clothes.
