HARIANEXPRESS – Blitar Police educated around 200 students from SMAN 1 Garum on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to prevent hoaxes and enhance digital literacy, (21/8/2026).
The education focused on maintaining public safety and order in the digital realm. The initiative covered AI’s development, benefits, and potential risks for young people.
The event was led by Kasat Binmas Polres Blitar AKP Indrayana, along with personnel from Bag SDM, Traffic Unit, and Public Relations. Students actively participated, gaining insights into responsible AI utilization.
“The goal of this education is to build understanding and ethics in utilizing technology wisely. Students also need to be able to filter information, recognize data bias, and beware of hoaxes and deepfakes that can mislead or harm others,” said AKP Indrayana.
AKP Indrayana emphasized that the ability to use technology must be balanced with an understanding of ethics, responsibility, and legal consequences. This makes AI education crucial for the younger generation.
Students were also encouraged to use AI productively for learning and creative activities, enhancing their capabilities without compromising originality or promoting plagiarism. Polres Blitar aims to foster digitally intelligent, adaptive, and competitive young individuals capable of using AI safely, ethically, and responsibly to prevent cybercrime.
