HARIANEXPRESS – The new leadership of the Blitar Regency Regional Leadership Council of the Indonesian Traditional Market Traders Association (DPD APPSI Kabupaten Blitar) for the 2026–2031 period was officially.
This inauguration followed a Regional Deliberation (Musda), where the new board announced its commitment to developing various programs aimed at bolstering the competitiveness of traditional markets. These initiatives are a direct response to the increasing challenge posed by modern retail and online trading platforms.
Strengthening Traditional Markets Amidst Competition
The newly appointed DPD APPSI Kabupaten Blitar leadership is poised to launch several programs. These initiatives are designed to fortify traditional markets against the encroachment of modern and online commerce.
APPSI as a Government Partner
Mulyono, the Chairman of DPD APPSI Kabupaten Blitar, emphasized that APPSI extends beyond merely being a platform for traders. The organization will actively collaborate with the government to advocate for the well-being of traditional market traders.
“Guna mendorong perekonomian rakyat, terutama kesejahteraan pedagang pasar tradisional, sesuai amanat dewan pembina kami Presiden Prabowo Subianto,” said Mulyono.
He further explained that a primary focus for the new management is to rebuild public trust in traditional markets. This objective will be achieved through direct guidance provided to traders.
Education and Market Events to Boost Economy
To achieve its goals, DPD APPSI Kabupaten Blitar plans two main strategies: routine education and economic-boosting events.
Routine Trader Education
Mulyono stated that regular educational sessions would be conducted by visiting traditional markets in rotation. This direct assistance aims to improve the service quality and marketing strategies of traders.
Agenda for Economic Enhancement
In addition to guidance, APPSI Kabupaten Blitar has prepared various events to invigorate economic activity in traditional markets. These include specific occasions designed to revitalize the market pulse.
He expressed hope that these programs would rekindle community interest in shopping at traditional markets. Ultimately, these efforts are expected to enhance the welfare of traders.
