The blaze reportedly initiated at a power bank storage facility located within the industrial complex. This initial ignition quickly grew, with flames rapidly intensifying beyond immediate control.
The fast-spreading fire subsequently extended to two additional warehouses situated in the identical area. These adjacent structures were utilized for storing toys and office stationery.
Highly flammable materials present in the affected units significantly accelerated the fire’s spread. Dense black smoke ascended skyward, becoming visible from multiple locations surrounding the incident site.
The Tangerang Selatan Fire and Rescue Department (Damkar) was notified about the conflagration at 12:10 PM WIB. Emergency personnel promptly dispatched to the location following information received from local residents.
Upon their arrival, firefighters immediately began operations to extinguish the fire. Their primary objective was to prevent the widespread flames from affecting other nearby buildings.
The firefighting process involved deploying multiple personnel and several fire engines to the scene. Responders also conducted cooling procedures on areas still emitting embers.
“Kami langsung lakukan pemadaman terhadap tiga gudang yang terbakar. Awalnya dari gudang powerbank, lalu merembet ke gudang mainan dan gudang ATK,” ujar Omay Komarudin (Kepala Bidang Pemadaman dan Penyelamatan Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan (Damkar).
Omay Komarudin, Head of the Firefighting and Rescue Division at the Fire and Rescue Department (Damkar), provided this direct statement regarding the fire’s origin and spread. He highlighted the specific types of warehouses involved in the incident.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the precise cause of the substantial fire. Authorities are simultaneously working to ascertain the full extent of financial losses incurred from the disaster.
