The discussions centered on the progress of strategic TNI programs, support for government priority agendas, and preparations for activities leading up to the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day.
The meeting saw the attendance of key figures including Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono.
Evaluation of Community-Focused Programs
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the TNI Commander and chiefs of staff presented reports on the achievements of various TNI programs. Many of these initiatives aim to foster equitable development and broaden public access to basic services.
One program under evaluation is the construction of 2,500 village bridges, slated for completion by August 2026. The government also received updates on the establishment of nearly 3,000 clean water supply points across various regions in Indonesia.
Beyond infrastructure like bridges and water, the meeting addressed the progress of village electrification programs, especially in outlying regions that still face limited energy access. This program is continuing throughout 2026 as part of the support for enhanced basic services.

Special Activities for Independence Day
In anticipation of the independence celebration, TNI ranks also reported plans for simultaneous social work nationwide. The President requested that the TNI introduce special activities that can be directly felt by the community, embodying the spirit of independence and national devotion.
The government has not yet revealed the specific details of these special activities. However, this agenda will form part of the series of commemorations for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2026.
