The initiative involves various activities such as melon harvesting, reviewing melon cultivation, and observing the management of chicken coops. These efforts are part of empowering the community’s economy through leveraging local potential.
The review occurred at the Smart Greenhouse and a broiler chicken apartment located at the Technical Implementation Unit of Feed Quality Testing, Breeding, and Forage (UPT BPMPPHMT) on Jl. Tjilik Riwut Km. 38. This direct observation served as a practical example for the public to optimize their unused land.
Aisyah Thisia Agustiar Sabran emphasized the TP PKK Movement’s strategic role as a government partner. This partnership aims to foster resilient, independent, and prosperous families across the region.
“The utilization of yards through cultivating food crops and simple livestock is a concrete step to build family food security. From strong families, healthy, productive, and competitive communities will be born. Therefore, TP PKK will continue to encourage the emergence of productive family movements capable of utilizing local potential to improve welfare,” stated Aisyah Thisia Agustiar Sabran, Chairperson of TP PKK Central Kalimantan Province.
She also articulated that all TP PKK Central Kalimantan Province programs will be aligned with the national development agenda, specifically through the President’s Asta Cita. This also supports the provincial government’s vision of “Kalteng BERKAH, Kalteng Maju.”
“The vision of TP PKK to create healthy, intelligent, empowered, faithful, and pious families must be realized through concrete actions. We want every family in Central Kalimantan to be an actor in development, starting from maintaining health, improving the quality of human resources, strengthening the family economy, and optimally utilizing local potential. With the spirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration, we are optimistic that the goals of Kalteng BERKAH, Kalteng Maju can be achieved,” emphasized Aisyah Thisia Agustiar Sabran.
The TP PKK Central Kalimantan Province is committed to supporting inclusive and sustainable regional development. This is achieved by strengthening family food security, empowering local product-based economies, enhancing family health quality, accelerating stunting reduction, and reinforcing family character.
The synergy among local government, TP PKK, the business sector, and the community is anticipated to extend the program’s benefits across Central Kalimantan. Accompanying the activities were Nunu Andriani, Vice Chair and Chair I of the Family Character Development Division of TP PKK Central Kalimantan Province, and Adiah Chandra Sari, Head of the Communication, Informatics, Encoding, and Statistics Office of Central Kalimantan Province, along with several other relevant regional apparatus heads.
