HARIANEXPRESS – Sekolah Al Ghifari Blitar successfully collected tens of millions of rupiah in donations designated for the victims of the earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The significant sum was gathered through the active participation of students from various educational levels, (22/8/2026).
Students across all grades, ranging from early childhood education (PAUD) to senior high school (SMA), were involved in the fundraising efforts. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of compassion and social responsibility among the young learners.
Basuki Rahmat, a coordinator for the initiative, explained the core purpose behind this charitable drive. He expressed hope that the children would develop empathy for fellow human beings who have become victims of natural disasters.
“We hope that the children have empathy for fellow human beings who are victims of this natural disaster,” ujar Basuki Rahmat.
The collection of these funds underscores the school’s commitment to humanitarian causes and community welfare. It also serves as an educational platform for students to understand the importance of aiding those in need.
