The head of Legal and Communication Division at Perum Jasa Tirta I, Aris Widya, stated that cracks found at five points on the peak of Lahor Dam are surface-level and not connected to the dam’s main structural construction.

“What was found are cracks on the asphalt paving layer and drainage channels at the dam’s peak,” Aris told.

These cracks measure approximately 6.8 millimeters in width and range from 12-20 cm in depth. Their lengths vary from 1.2 meters to 22 meters.

Aris emphasized that based on examinations, there is no damage to the main structure of the dam, which is located on the border between Blitar and Malang Regencies.
