HARIANEXPRESS – A resident of Sananwetan District, Blitar City, identified by the initials DA, reported the alleged theft of a motorcycle after meeting a man recently acquainted through social media. The incident reportedly occurred following a planned running session at the Sport Center in Blitar City.
The alleged theft took place on Friday 14, 2026, around 5:30 PM WIB, within the parking area of the Sport Center. Authorities from Polres Blitar Kota are currently investigating the case to locate the suspect and the stolen vehicle.
Incident Details Emerge After Social Media Meeting
DA initially connected with a man, identified by his initials AG, through social media platforms. Following their initial virtual interactions, the two individuals had met in person on three separate occasions.
DA and AG arranged to meet again for a joint running exercise. Their rendezvous point was the Sport Center located in Blitar City.
The Disappearance at Sport Center Parking
Upon arriving at the Sport Center, DA parked their motorcycle in the designated parking area. The two then proceeded to begin their agreed-upon running session together.
However, after completing their exercise, DA returned to the parking lot and was shocked to find the motorcycle missing from its spot. Simultaneously, AG was nowhere to be found and could not be reached by DA.
Police Launch Investigation into Blitar Theft
The incident was subsequently reported to the Polres Blitar Kota by the victim. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the alleged criminal act.
“The incident happened on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, around 5:30 PM WIB, in the parking area of the Sport Center, Jalan Belawan, Bendo Village, Kepanjenkidul District, Blitar City,” stated AKP Rudi Kuswoyo, Kasat Reskrim Polres Blitar Kota.
The suspected perpetrator, AG, is estimated to be approximately 20 years old. His complete identity is currently undergoing a thorough investigation process by law enforcement.
Police are actively pursuing leads to locate the alleged perpetrator and recover the stolen motorcycle. They are focusing their efforts on tracking down AG and the missing vehicle.
“Currently, the Reskrim Unit of Polsek and Polres Blitar Kota are still conducting an investigation regarding the whereabouts of the perpetrator and the evidence,” AKP Rudi Kuswoyo concluded to infobanua.co.id.
